Update: "New Moon" Premiere in Knoxville
TL Daily was interviewed by the Knoxville News-Sentinal, for their upcoming story about Twilight fans and their reaction to "New Moon" premiering in Knoxville. For me personally, the news was quite unexpected. I assumed it would take place in Los Angeles, just like it did last year.
There also seems to be a little confusion about whether "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" will have more than one "premiere." Last year Twilight had fundraiser premieres and THE premiere in Los Angeles. The writer said he will try to clear this up in his next article.
In regards to the date of the premiere and the stars attending, nothing has been confirmed. TL Daily called Variety - The Children's Charity of Eastern Tennessee and learned that they hope to finalize the details in the next 30-60 days. Variety is also trying to come up with a package so that devoted Twilight fans will have the ability to buy tickets.

I want to go SO bad!! My grandpa used to live in Knoxville and if he still lived there, I would probably get to go. =[ I live in Kansas, though, so it's too far away. Grr. I'm uber jealous of all you guys that get to go!

im happy about becuz this mean me and my friends might get to go to this year becuz we're in Al so it would be easy to get there for us. and any one in the area close to Al.
I wish I was able to attend but I just don't have the money to travel. If it was in LA I would be able to attend since I live in LA :)
There's a possibility there will still be a premiere in LA. Don't give up yet! I will post the latest deets as they become available.

I live 20 minutes from where the premier is taking place!!! I'm SO going!!! I'm going to camp out at the theater to get tickets if I have to! I don't care if the tickets are $100+! I'm going!!!

I think it's awesome that the premiere may be in Knoxville! My mom loves TN and she knows I am such a big fan so there's a good chance I might be able to go!!!! :) Whoever does get to go is soo lucky!

I'm excited about the prospect of the premiere being held in a different city. It's nice to give people who don't live in LA or NYC a chance to go. I think I'm going to go to the Knoxville premiere! I have friends that live up there and it's not too far from me so I'm pretty excited!
