Is Taylor Lautner the Next Pee-Wee?

The 80's children TV series “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse” is making a comeback with a new stage show in Los Angeles and a pair of movies are in the works. Will Taylor Lautner be the next Pee-Wee Herman on the big screen?

“Taylor Lautner’s playing Pee-Wee in the movie. That’s what I understand,” Paul Reubens, in character as Pee-Wee, joked to Access Hollywood on Monday.

Have you ever watched “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse” when you were a kid? I did, and I seriously don't know why. That show is whack! If you're curious watch a clip on YouTube.

Don't worry, Reubens was only kidding. Taylor wouldn't possible go from Max Steel to Pee-Wee. That would be career suicide!

Maybe Taylor is the guy that Paul Reubens "Pee Wee" would pick to play him as Pee Wee (We'll leave Taylor out of the running for the role of real-life Paul Reubens- if that biography ever comes *ahem* to a big screen theatre).

This is pretty funny to imagine.
Look at the benefits: Paul would be the exact opposite of himself, instantly, without any time and effort being put into the physical transformation.
And
Besides-Taylor loves being goofy and he's down to earth and has a certain innocence that is pretty much the definition of Pee Wee. There are many worse characters that Taylor could portray. He'd definitely bring Pee Wee's Sexy Back and I'm up for seeing Taylor on a bar dancing to 'Tequila' in platform shoes or saying "I know you are but what am I?"
That alone would make me buy a ticket. ;)

Aw I used to adore Pee Wee's playhouse when I was a kid! Haha it would be silly to see Taylor as Pee Wee, but I bet it would get more watchers that way, with all the fan girls Taylor has. What fan girl wouldn't watch it? Even if it was a tad bit cheesey.
