Taylor Lautner and His Dad Are Tailor Made

Taylor Lautner and his dad Dan have joined forces to create Tailor Made Entertainment, which will be developing film and television vehicles for the 17-year-old heartthrob. "Cancun" will be the first movie produced by Tailor Made.

Billed by Variety as a "teenaged 'Taken' meets 'Die Hard,'" the flick centers around Taylor's college student character, who while on spring break in Cancun, must rescue his kidnapped friends from a drug cartel leader. The flick will give the former extreme martial arts champ the opportunity to show of his fighting skills.

This description of "Cancun" makes the movie sound much more interesting to me. We shall see... What do you think?

Wow, he and his dad are like Batman & Robin. LOL.

His Dad seems really concerned for him. I really hope they both stay as genuine with all the fame.

The i in tailor bugs me

They probably couldn't use "Taylor Made" because it's a brand that makes golf clubs.

I like it totally much. .wenn it would know like my room look. .LoL

Oh so like he wrote Cancun? I think it's cool he's creating a movie company like Drew Berrymore.

No, Taylor didn't write the movie but his dad will be one of the producers.

I don't know about this it could be good or bad depends on the movie!
but GOOD LOOK! i really hoppe that can be a great movie ohh have you seen it???? Taylor Lautner is The Hottes Hottie of Perez Hilton page hahaha and Taylor Squared The Hottes HookUp =D

I think that someone has been readig the comments from this site the plot sounds better than before it now as potential to be a good movie a mixture of Taken a good movie and of course die hard is forever awesome, it sounds like less cheese if they work on the plot more it could be a awesome movie, just stick in the taken / die hard genre and get a good writer/director and it should do well.
GOOD LUCK TAYLOR MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL THE TLDAILY FANS AND OF COURSE THE OBJECT OF OUR AFFECTIONS TAYLOR D LAUTNER AND TO ALL A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR I MEAN IT WILL BE GOOD TAYLOR WILL BE 18

Taylor, Congratulations on forming your own production company! Glad to see that his dad is a part of this. It makes sense to have people around who love you, have your best interests and your back. Too many snakes and parasites crawl around Hollywood lookin' for an opportunity to feed.
Mr. Lautner's a good guy and you can tell he's a dedicated dad ;)

Gahhhhhhhhhhh ; I Wish I Was A Part Of That Movie.

I Have A Dream Of Being An Actress, But All Of A Sudden You Need Money To Become One :/

MOVIES ARE PASSION<3.

Im not sure what to think of this whole production company thing. His dad doesnt have a clue about the industry, so either he's just a really devoted dad, or on the other hand, he is just riding on his son's fame. Im not gonna lie, first summit and the dad allegedly tells his son to stop dating the selena girl because its ruining his "single" status that teenage girls need if they want to fawn over him- now, at the peak of his son's fame, he sets up is own production company on the back of it. Call me a cynic, but i wonder where the money for this is coming from. Also, i noticed that the father was the one driving that shiny new red mercedes with the alloy wheels, etc, so I take it that was his car. looked pretty expensive. and again, I wonder where the money came from... I have my doubts about mr. Dan Lautner.

As for taylor- Rule one to avoiding family arguments- never go into business with your family. He's signing up for way too much, and i really hope its not going to backfire on him at somepoint! well- this movie cancun seems to be the only decent plotline of all his upcoming films so far. max steel- i have serious doubts about.
Sorry. I know all this sounds highly pessimistic, but if I was a parent this isn't how I would go about things with my son at all.

i totally agree with you. I also think that maybe Taylor is getting too big for his britches. In other words, his head is getting big. I am a huge fan-but a piece of advice for him: the lord giveth and the lord taketh away, count your blessings and don't push your luck.

I agree with your point it is the forever sad repeating holly tale of parents managing/pimping out their kids, I'm sorry I don't like the parent/ managers it never turns out right, look at the eg, linsay, britney, drew, mackuley, and the list goes on in the beginning all good intentions but then it becomes about the money, parents should never be managers they should be parents hire a manager and watch out for your kid, it such a fine line and most of the time it gets crossed, and the kids get scr#$w as for taylor I don't see a big head, if he had one it would have been present already and plus he is 17 after all, plus there is nothing wrong with having a company i just hope he tries to enjoy being a young man and don't turn into a fame whore but we will see.

well, thankfully I don't think i've seen any indication that he is getting a big head yet, so I hope it stays that way. As for the parenting issues, skyhigh- when you list all those parent-bullied celebrities, it really does throw things into perspective! Didn't two of those people have a nervous break down after all?! ugh. well, fingers crossed for Taylor anyway. I just hope him and his father have the sense to cool it.

two they all had are this have issues it a hell of a thing when the people that bring you into this world screw u over that is really hard to get over. My fingers are crossed for Taylor I hope is dad always does right by him, as for taylor he seems to have his head really good screwed on.

I was just Youtube surfing looking at early Lautner interviews way back in the day. And I couldn't help be reminded of those exact stories about families pushing their wonder child usually in sports to achieve greatness or fail. There is no middle ground.

I believe the decision of acting was ultimately his to choose. But what I also saw was a clear and calculated future with strong parental guidance. Just like his 110% focus on martial arts now turns to acting it's something he is willing to do with the support of his family. I think they know what they are doing, I definitely think there could be a conflict between parenting and managing. But the managing/parenting combination was always prevalent even then, now they are just making it official. I guess it would be like playing a sport and your dad's the coach. Gahd I hatted those kids lol.

More and more of those early interviews are showing up on the tuber. I even heard him say the famous "I can't date till I'm 28" and we all know that was just a joke,... or was it? "O.o"
