Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart were special guests at "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" premiere in Knoxville, TN on November 17, 2009 at Regal Pinnacle 18 at Turkey Creek.

The stars were awarded plaques for their participation in this charity event, benefiting Variety - The Children's Charity of Eastern Tennessee.

Finally, the official details regarding the "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" movie premiere in Knoxville, TN has been announced. The Knoxville News has confirmed that Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart will attend the premiere on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Regal Cinemas’ Pinnacle 18 at Turkey Creek! There has not been a confirmation for Robert Pattinson or the other Twilight co-stars.

Unlike most premieres, ticket holders will be able to view the red carpet entrance of the “New Moon” stars, attend a reception for the actors in the theater lobby and see the movie!!! O-M-G! Only a limited number of tickets will be available to the general public, and here's how to get them.

Fans can register for the drawing from Oct. 9-11 exclusively at Regal Cinemas locations in Knoxville — Pinnacle Stadium 18, West Town Mall Stadium 9, Riviera Stadium 8, Knoxville Center Stadium 10 and Downtown West 8. Registration will be during the theaters’ regular business hours, and there is no purchase necessary.

Those who register must be 18 or older, and only one entry per person will be accepted.

Winners’ names will be drawn Nov. 3, and they will be given the opportunity to purchase two general admission tickets for $100 each. Tickets are not for re-sale, and ticketholders must show valid identification before admittance to the event.

For those of you who are wondering what's happening with the "New Moon" premiere in Knoxville, Tennessee, I have a bit of new information. Unfortunately there isn't a lot to report, but here is what I know.

• For security reasons, camping for tickets will probably NOT be allowed at Pinnacle.
• In the next week or two, the director of Variety is hoping to release ticket information, a date for the Knoxville premiere and the names of the Twilight cast members who will be attending.
• This isn't THE premiere. There will most likely be a premiere in London and/or Los Angeles and/or New York.
• A majority of the tickets will be available to sponsors. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor you may call Variety of Eastern Tennessee at 865-925-9906 or visit their website at www.varietytn.org.

Update 09/15/09: Official details for the "New Moon" premiere in Knoxville have been announced.

TL Daily has received new information regarding the "New Moon" premiere in Knoxville, TN. Here is the email we received from the Knoxville News Sentinal:

It appears that it could be as late as mid-September before the date of the premiere and the list of participating cast members will be released.

There probably will be some 100 to 200 tickets sold to the general public for the screening. (That number could increase if any of the sponsors return tickets to the organizers). They are expecting tens of thousands of fans to vie for these tickets, so it’s a very competitive situation. Although they have sold such tickets for previous premieres at the Pinnacle 18 box office, the demand for "New Moon" tickets has the premiere organizers searching for a more orderly means of distribution. (They want to avoid having thousands of fans camping out at the theater.) Although this is not confirmed, one possible means will be a drawing. In this scenario, fans would be able to register their names at a Knoxville Regal theater (either the Pinnacle 18 or perhaps any Regal theater in town) for about a week, perhaps in October. Regal/Variety would then draw names and sell the public tickets to those fans whose names were drawn.

TL Daily was interviewed by the Knoxville News-Sentinal, for their upcoming story about Twilight fans and their reaction to "New Moon" premiering in Knoxville. For me personally, the news was quite unexpected. I assumed it would take place in Los Angeles, just like it did last year.

There also seems to be a little confusion about whether "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" will have more than one "premiere." Last year Twilight had fundraiser premieres and THE premiere in Los Angeles. The writer said he will try to clear this up in his next article.

In regards to the date of the premiere and the stars attending, nothing has been confirmed. TL Daily called Variety - The Children's Charity of Eastern Tennessee and learned that they hope to finalize the details in the next 30-60 days. Variety is also trying to come up with a package so that devoted Twilight fans will have the ability to buy tickets.
